WOMEN’S SPACE on CAMPUS
Update
Due to renovations of Building 11 by UniCentre, the Women’s Space has moved to a temporary location.
WUSA will undergo discussion with UniCentre to ensure the new Women’s Space will have the same provisions as the old women’s space.
Join the women’s elist to keep updated with the progress. Email womens@wusa.uow.edu.au to join the elist.
Location
Women’s space will up and running by Week 1 of Autumn Session 2008.
It will be located on Level 2 Building 11, East end next to Buffet Room.

Purpose
The Women’s Space is a only for women that provide women with a comforting and supportive area while at UOW.
Women can feel free to express breast milk, enjoy eating and chatting, and a quite reading space with information provided for women’s services in the Illawarra area.

Women’s Collective Meeting
Location: Women’s Space
Time: Tuesdays 10:30am in the WUSA office.
Purpose: to discuss and plan for campaigns, events and issues arising

- specialised support at Careers Centre for women graduates entering the workforce
- continue reviews of lighting around campus and no cuts in security for late night hours on campus
- freedom to speak out against sexual and other types of assault on campus
- no cuts in the medical health centre on campus
